I want to wake up here every morning. This was the best breakfast I have ever had. Don't be discouraged if you see a line outside, we were sat quickly on a busy Saturday morning. Our server was so kind and attentive. This cafe if family owned and located in a small shopping center outside of Waikiki. We tried the Salmon and Lox, Breakfast Quesadilla, and a few locals said we just had to try their Belgian malted waffle (we were grateful for this recommendation as it was delicious) The star of the show was the veggie breakfast quesadilla. Highly recommend, it was so delicious and fresh. Our waiter stated all of their produce is locally sourced (another bonus). Thank you for the hospitality and delicious breakfast we can't wait to come back soon.

I'll keep it short and sweet like the staff at this amazing establishment! Very kind & attentive staff Croissant sandwiches were so good I went back twice. The cornbread waffle was phenomenal, I haven't ever had anything like it. It was perfectly paired with a strawberry butter which again was PHENOMENAL. It was sweet but not too sweet. Paired nicely with the latte. I will definitely make sure to stop again by when I visit Honolulu again!

Long lines but worth the wait! When you arrive, you put your name on a waitlist and get called up. Waited about 30 minutes for a party of two. We got the meatloaf benedict and a daily special french toast. The meatloaf benedict is so creative and so delicious! The french toast was really yummy as well. The staff was all really nice. Highly recommend stopping here if you have the time!

Although Cafe Kaila is usually busy, it is always well worth the wait. When you get in, the staff is always welcoming and attentive. They seem to get you in and out due to their efficiency, but yiu never feel rushed. The food is always fresh and light even if you get something on the heavier side like their amazing waffles. One of my favorite spots to go after a hike on that side of the island :)

We will be back! Our first time here. Wait time to get in was about 10 min on Memorial Day. We ordered the chicken and waffles and scramble with Portuguese sausage. Waffles were tasty and so was the chicken but the chicken was a bit dry for me. I usually order the egg scramble at another famous place but this one was sooo much better. We will be back to try their other items for sure! Service was fast and friendly

What can I say that has not already been said? Luckily, we arrived early so the wait was only a couple minutes! It's always so busy so we were so excited to try it! The loco moco meatloaf was definitely different but enjoyable! I got the chicken and waffles and the syrup was this spicy syrup thing that was perfect!

My local friend suggested Café Kaila for breakfast because it is the only breakfast restaurant that serves late breakfast and has a parking lot. Ok. I trusted him. So, here we are. The parking lot was full at lunch time. Hahaha. Right. It was not as full before lunchtime. I didn't mind. I am on vacation. While my friend was trying to find parking, I signed in on the waitlist. There was a few people before us. So, I started to check out their menu. The pictures didn't appear appetizing. I was trying to convince my mainland friend to order Meatloaf Loco Moco. He hesitated at first. By the time he saw the plate, he was impressed with the presentation and the taste. Of course, cameras eat first. Everyone took lots of pictures. I ordered the breakfast combo because I really wanted to try the Portuguese sausage and fried rice. I didn't care for the fried eggs. They did ok, not hard to explain how I like mine burned on the edge and little hard on the yolk. I got a chance to share my fried rice and the sausage with my friends. They are a little salty to my palate. Everyone at the table enjoyed the plantation lemonade. That was so refreshing for any weather. Overall, we are fans of Café Kaila. I would definitely come back to try lunch dishes during lunchtime.

Cafe Kaila is definitely one of my favorite go-to breakfast spots. I love that they open early, and even though they STAY busy the wait time is never too bad and always worth it. The staff is very nice and friendly. The place itself is bustling and busy with a constant hum of conversation. We ordered two iced lattes, mine was Thai and his was chai. Both were delicious. My friend ordered the Italian omelette with the addition of bacon(which I contemplated ordering myself) and I got the frittata with link sausage. We got a fruit bowl to share because they were out of the blueberry stuffed French toast. I wish I would have ordered the Italian omelette because one bit of my friend's plate and I was regretting my frittata. The Italian omelette had so much flavor and the marinara sauce on top really brought all the flavors together. The frittata was good, I think it might just have been missing a sauce, salsa, or something to help give the dish some brightness. I will most definitely be back for MY OWN Italian omelette and to hopefully try the blueberry stuffed French toast before they run out!
